50,000 Contributions - Too far on the horizon ?

This question (or remark) came up on serveral platforms where entries about ART WORLD PROJECT are published.

Well, it's indeed far on the horizon and a big target, but lets face it from a sailor-point-of-view:
If you are on a ship far out on the ocean, nothing around you besides the ocean, sky and the horizon. You're moving and you know where you want to go, but it seems you aint getting closer.
Keep on your direction and motiviation - You will get closer, for sure!

Having this in mind, our project is moving and our motivation is borderless. Might be, that we are not moving that fast as we wish, because winds are not yet very strong. But the wind will increase by every single new participant who will join the project.

The reason why we selected the size of 50,000 contributions is simply described: Our project donation to unprivileged children should represent a remarkable and helpful support. So it could have been even bigger, but than it would be a difficult logistical problem to move and display it. The selected size still fits perfectly into any museum or elsewhere.

In this sense - we are looking forward to your supporting participation . We need stronger winds - because there are thousands of children looking for a horizon too.

Payment method for contributions

Currently we have implemented "PayPal" as an online payment tool for the contributions. With PayPal you can pay directly after you have reserved and ordered the field for your contribution (by credit card and thru your PayPal account if available).

We still working on implementing additional payment options and online payment systems. Most of them are having very high setup costs upfront, which we try to avoid. For payments within the European Community we will shortly introduce the payment option "bank tranfer", because there will be no transfer costs involved (using IBAN + BIC). This will of course give us some
more administration efforts, but we want to give it a try.

Would you rather or preferable make your payment by "bank transfer" if you could choose? This could only be an option for Europe - for payments from all other countries we still have to investigate cheaper transfer possibilities.

On the buttom of this page you will find a short "opinion poll" to this question and we would appreciate your opinion.

Styrian National Hospital Corp. (KAGes) supports ART WORLD PROJECT

“As further development of the connection between health, art and social commitment “KAGes" is going to purchase 100 fields (in the first phase) on ART WORLD PROJECT to support this idea of an unique art project with artists from all parts of the world connected with the support given to suffering children. It is our intent to promote artists, who are presenting their works of art in many of our hospital galleries, by presenting themselfes with two of their works of art on ART WORLD PROJECT. “
